History of Alexandria
Alexandria was laid out in 1830. The village played a role in the Underground Railroad, sheltering many escaped slaves on their way to freedom.In 2018, village voters defeated a ballot issue to dissolve the village and become a part of St. Albans Township. The vote was 92% against the dissolution.
