Data sources and accuracy

Supplier offers are sourced from energychoice.ohio.gov (Ohio PUCO Apples-to-Apples) and refreshed daily. Utility rider rates are sourced from publicly filed tariff documents. While we make reasonable efforts to keep this data current, we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Always verify the rate, contract length, fees, and terms directly with the supplier before enrolling.

Rate estimates and savings calculations

Any savings figures, monthly cost estimates, or annual projections shown on this site are calculations based on the inputs you provide (such as monthly kWh usage) and the rate data we display. They are estimates, not guarantees. Your actual bill will vary based on your true usage, supplier billing practices, monthly fees, rate changes (especially for variable-rate plans), and utility delivery charges.

Your supplier choice is your own

Ohio Energy Guide does not select an electricity supplier for you, and we do not process enrollments. The decision to enroll with any supplier is yours alone. We are not responsible for any contract, rate change, charge, fee, billing dispute, service interruption, early termination penalty, or other consequence arising from your enrollment with any electricity supplier listed on this site.

Third-party links

When you click an “Enroll” button, you leave Ohio Energy Guide and are taken to the supplier's own website. From that point forward, the supplier's terms of service, privacy policy, and contract govern. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the content, practices, or contracts of any third-party site.
