Company background
Kiwi Energy was formed in 2008, drawing on its founders' backgrounds in deregulated energy markets dating to 1998 in Australia and New Zealand. The operating subsidiary Kiwi Energy NY LLC was incorporated in New York on December 17, 2012. In January 2013 the company announced closing a US$10 million revolving working capital facility to support growth in its Northeast retail operations. It subsequently expanded into Ohio.
