PUCO Case 17-2452-GE-CSS: IGS Energy filed a complaint alleging that Titan Gas and Power sales representatives falsely told customers their fixed-rate plans had expired and would roll to a high variable rate, regardless of whether either claim was true. Titan had already voluntarily terminated its third-party sales vendors and suspended those sales channels in Ohio. The parties jointly moved to dismiss after settlement. The PUCO-supervised resolution required Titan to continue suspension of Ohio residential sales channels for a total 24-month period and to undergo Staff review of its compliance procedures before recommencing residential enrollment.
