Interstate Gas Supply LLC is the PUCO-certified retail electric supplier entity of IGS Energy (Interstate Gas Supply, Inc.), a privately held energy company founded in 1989 and headquartered in Dublin, Ohio. IGS Energy serves more than one million residential, commercial, and industrial customers across 18 states and is one of Ohio's largest independent retail energy suppliers.
Company background
IGS Energy was founded in 1989 by Marvin White and his son Scott in Dublin, Ohio, initially as a commercial and industrial wholesale natural gas supplier. By 1999 the company expanded into residential supply, and in February 2012 it began serving electric customers in Ohio. Interstate Gas Supply LLC is the legal entity under which IGS Energy holds its Ohio CRES (Competitive Retail Electric Supplier) certificate, distinct from the company's separately certificated IGS Energy trade name. In January 2025, Interstate Gas Supply LLC completed its acquisition of MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (MC2), which continued to operate as an independent PUCO-certificated entity.
