Delta Revenue Recovery

FirstEnergy

Current Rate

0.0001¢/kWh

PUCO Case

23-1073-EL-RDR

Est. 2024

Recovers the revenue delta between the standard tariff and approved economic development/EE/special-contract rates. Tiny per-kWh amount; non-bypassable.

📜 History & Background

The Delta Revenue Recovery (DRR) rider recovers the revenue delta between the otherwise-applicable tariff rate and the application of credits under economic development schedules, energy efficiency schedules, reasonable arrangements, or governmental special contracts approved by PUCO on or after January 1, 2009.

⚙️ How It Works

DRR is reconciled quarterly. The current Rate RS rate is roughly 0.0001¢/kWh — effectively negligible on a residential bill.

🔒 If You Switch Suppliers

Non-bypassable — DRR is a regulatory pass-through that stays on the bill regardless of supplier choice.
